All that we believe is based on the Bible because the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that is how God speaks to us today. The Bible is from God and it is God’s Word for us today. 2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

The Bible teaches that we are all sinners- Romans 3:23 says “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”. Romans 6:23 says “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

God has a standard which is perfect, and the Bible says because of our sin we have fallen short of that standard. We have all done and thought things we shouldn’t do, that is sin. No one taught us to do wrong as children, we automatically did it because we are sinners. 

The Gospel is a message of good news. Despite our sin God loves us and sent his Son t die on the cross for us. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

The Lord Jesus is the perfect, sinless Son of God who suffered and died for us upon a cross. Following His death, His body was put in a tomb, and He rose again the third day. He has ascended back to Heaven where He is alive today. Our sins can be forgiven by only believing on Him. 

Acts 16:31 says “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved”

Romans 10:9 tells us “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
